Pocatello, Idaho – Continuing its tradition of giving back, Skate Idaho hosted its annual Christmas Skateboard Build Day, where 29 complete skateboards were assembled and donated to local youth this holiday season.
For the past three years, Skate Idaho has partnered with Angel Tree and Toys for Tots to fulfill children’s wishes for skateboards. Each year, requests have increased, reflecting the growing popularity of skateboarding as both a sport and a means for personal growth. This year, Skate Idaho donated to Angel Tree in Pocatello and Idaho Falls, fulfilling every skateboard wish.
“This is about more than just skateboards,” said Dave with Skate Idaho. “It’s about giving kids a sense of community, confidence, and joy during the holidays. Seeing their excitement reminds us why we do this every year.”
This year’s effort was made possible thanks to the generous support of Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU), Cannon Skate Shop, and Ace Trucks, whose contributions ensured every board was built and delivered in time for Christmas.
The Chevy Nichols Memorial Scholarship and Skate Idaho’s ongoing community programs highlight the organization’s mission to foster inclusive, empowering spaces for young skaters across Southeast Idaho.
