Mark your calendars! Go Skate Day 2026 is coming to Pocatello on Sunday, June 21st, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the new Optimist Skatepark.
This year’s event is especially exciting, as it marks our fourth annual Go Skate Day celebration and our first time hosting it at Pocatello’s newest skatepark. We invite skateboarders of all ages and skill levels, along with friends, family, and community members, to celebrate skateboarding and the positive impact it has on our community.
Go Skate Day is an international celebration of skateboarding that takes place every year on June 21. Communities around the world come together to promote skateboarding, encourage people to get outside, and share the culture, creativity, and friendships that make skateboarding special.
Our local celebration will feature skate sessions, contests, giveaways, vendors, music, and opportunities to connect with fellow skateboarders from across Southeast Idaho. Whether you’ve been skating for decades, just started learning, or simply want to see what the excitement is all about, everyone is welcome.
Events like Go Skate Day are only possible because of the support of our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, and the City of Pocatello. We are grateful to everyone who has helped make skateboarding stronger in Southeast Idaho.
